Terms of use
The rules for playing Backcourt, in plain English.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
By downloading or playing Backcourt Basketball Manager, you agree to these terms.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play Backcourt on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not resell the game, redistribute modified versions, or extract its assets for use in another product.
Fair play
The Online League only works if results are real. You may not use modified clients, automation, exploits or multiple accounts to influence fixtures or ratings. We may reset a rating, remove a placement reward, or close an account that does. Career mode is yours — play it however you like.
Content and conduct
Manager names and any other text you enter that is visible to other players must not be abusive, hateful, obscene, or impersonate someone else. We may change or remove names that break this rule.
Purchases
Backcourt is free to play and contains no purchases that alter squad strength, player ratings, recovery speed or match outcomes. Where optional purchases exist, they are handled by Apple or Google, and refunds follow the store's own policy — not ours.
Availability
Career mode runs on your device and does not depend on us. Online services may be interrupted for maintenance, and may eventually be discontinued; if we ever shut the Online League down we will give notice in the app and in the update notes first.
Trademarks
Backcourt is an independent simulation. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any professional basketball league, club or players' association. All clubs and competitions in the game are fictional.
Liability
The game is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Backcourt Games is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
