What Backcourt collects, why it collects it, and how to have it removed.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This policy explains what Backcourt Basketball Manager collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the mobile game on iOS and Android and to this website.
What the game stores on your device
Career mode is local. Your clubs, rosters, treasury, season progress and settings are written to storage on your own device and are not uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.
What we collect when you play online
- Account identifier and manager name — so that Online League fixtures, results, rating and placement history can be attached to you.
- Match results and rating changes — the outcomes of your online fixtures.
- Basic technical data — app version, device model and operating system version, used to diagnose crashes and to decide which devices to keep supporting.
We do not collect your contacts, your photos, your location or your device identifiers for advertising purposes.
Analytics and crash reporting
In the game we use aggregate analytics and crash reporting to understand which screens are used and why the app fails. These reports are tied to a random installation identifier, not to your name or email address.
On this website we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and guides people read, and which app store link they tap. It sets a cookie in your browser and records a truncated IP address, your approximate country, and the pages you view. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we have not enabled Google Signals or ad personalisation.
To opt out, use your browser's “Do Not Track” or tracking-prevention setting, block cookies for this site, or install Google's official opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Advertising
Backcourt does not sell your personal data, and does not run behavioural advertising based on profiles built from your activity outside the game.
Children
Backcourt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data attached to your online profile, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and close the profile. Email [email protected] from the address on the account, or include your manager name. Requests are answered within 30 days.
Data retention
Online profile data is kept while the profile is active and for 12 months after the last time you played, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Crash and analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the update notes and change the date at the top of this page.
